Hey there, I´m Char!
The founder of Hungry Mamas Nutrition and a busy working mum with two daughters.
I started Hungry Mamas after my first daughter was born because… I was constantly hungry! Hungry for the nutrients my body needed to recover from pregnancy and birth. Hungry to keep up with the demands of motherhood and sustain a new life through breastfeeding. Hungry for connection with other women in the same position, adjusting to this overwhelming new role of “Mama.”
At the time I was living in Barcelona (though I’m originally from the UK). Hungry Mamas also became a way to connect with other international mums – women navigating motherhood away from their home country and usual support network. Together we created a big yet intimate “family” of mums, sharing this beautiful (but relentless) experience.
Whether you’re an expat mum, single mum, or working mum, raising kids while eating well can be tough. We want to feed our families healthily, but often there just aren’t enough hours in the day. We know home-cooked meals are more nourishing than ultra-processed foods, yet after a long workday and the school run, finding the time to shop and cook feels impossible. That’s where Hungry Mamas Nutrition comes in.
Nourishing women in motherhood isn’t just our tagline – it’s our mission. To help women take care of themselves fully and live their healthiest, happiest lives.
As my own family’s needs have changed, Hungry Mamas has evolved too. We now focus on women’s midlife health and well-being, and the challenges women face in today’s fast-paced, high-stress world.
From fertility and conception, to pregnancy and postpartum, to peri-menopause and menopause, we support women through every milestone and all the wonderful moments in between.
